A prefabricated modular block (1) comprising: (i) first and second outer walls (2) transversely spaced apart; (ii) first and second inner walls (3) provided between, and respectively adjacent to, the first and second outer walls and being transversely spaced from each other and (iii) a first series of three transverse walls (4) that they link the first inner and outer walls, and a second series of three transverse walls (4) that link the second inner and outer walls, the transverse walls of each series being provided one at each end of the block and one at the center thereof, whereby two gaps (5) are defined between each adjacent pair of inner and outer walls, each of said first and second series of transverse walls being formed with aligned V-shaped notches (11a); (iv) a third series of two transverse walls (6) that link the inner walls in between, the two transverse walls of the third series being provided in the fourth parts of the length of the block, so that a gap (7) is defined between the inner walls of the block, said third series of transverse walls having an aligned series of notches in the form of ¿V¿ (11); characterized in that: the upper surfaces of the inner walls are above those of the outer walls; the block further comprising a plurality of projections (14) on the upper surfaces of the outer walls, which upper surfaces of said projections remain at the level of the upper surfaces of the inner walls; and further comprising, the block, vertical recesses (17) of the outer walls arranged on each side edge thereof.
