Motor vehicle licence plate is made from acrylic panel printed with logo or symbol and coated with adhesive to receive letters and numerals

The licence plate is made from a transparent acrylic panel (1) which is printed with a logo or symbol (2) e.g. of a particular country. The central zone of the panel is then coated with a removable adhesive (3), followed by a sheet (4) of a permanent adhesive. The panel and adhesive sheet are then laminated together and fitted into a template comprising lower and upper components, the latter carrying the letters and numerals of the licence plate, cut out by a manual or automatic punch and applied to the adhesive surface of the acrylic panel. The letters and numerals can be in one or more colours.
