Method of processing a rubber composition which comprises mixing at a rubber temperature in a range of 140 ° C to 190 ° C during a mixing time from 4 to 20 minutes. (I) 100 parts by weight of at least one uncured elastomer containing olefinic unsaturation selected from the group consisting of natural rubber, homopolymers and copolymers of conjugated diene and copolymers of at least one conjugated diene and a vinyl compound aromatic; with (II) 1 to 25 phr of a fatty acid selected from the group consisting of soya fatty acid, sunflower fatty acid and mixtures thereof.
