The brace has two flexible bands (1, 3) provided with padded rims (2, 4), where the bands are adjusted by a closure unit (5). A mutual solidarization device is provided on the bands for adjusting height of a collar. The solidarization device is provided with rigid parts (6, 7) that are supported in the bands. The rigid parts are connected together by an adjustment and maintenance mechanism (8). The mechanism is provided with arms (9, 10) and a cursor part (11) that is made to slide on the arms. A lock positioning unit is provided on the cursor part.
