FLUIDIZED INTESTINAL SUBMUCOSA AND ITS USE AS AN INJECTABLE TISSUE GRAFT

A fluidized, injectable tissue graft composition is described. The compositioncomprises comminuted intestinal submucosaor protease-digested intestinal submucosa. Methods for the preparation and useof injectable tissue graft compositions are described.In preferred embodiments the tissue graft material is prepared from theintestinal submucosa comprising the tunics submucosaand basilar portions of the tunics mucosa of a segment of intestinal tissue ofa warm-blooded vertebrate: Effectiveamounts of the fiuidized graft compositions can be injected to promote repairtissue defects by inducing formation of endogenoustissues.
