An aiming system and a method for aiming a firearm are providedthat allow a user to aim and shoot the firearm without exposing thebody of the user to potential enemy fire or the like. The visualaiming system is incorporated on a body of the firearm and an imagesignal is remotely transmitted to a headset worn by the firearmuser. The headset has an incorporated display to view the image.The image signal may be recorded or remotely observed throughadditional transmission of the image signal from the camera.
