A process for recovering hydrogen products from a hydrogen¦carbon oxidesynthesis gas wherein removal of carbon oxides is accomplished in a pressureswingadsorption unit, by operating the pressure swing adsorption unit until carbonoxidesbreak through into the effluent from the pressure swing adsorption unit,followed bypassing the effluent from the pressure swing adsorption unit through amethanator toremove breakthrough carbon oxides from the pressure swing adsorption effluent.
