A CARBODIIMIDE COMPOSITION WITH SUPPRESSED YELLOWING, A STABILIZER AGAINST HYDROLYSIS AND A THERMOPLASTIC RESIN COMPOSITION

Disclosed are (1) a carbodiimide compositionhaving an improved heat resistance which had been aconventional requirement for a carbodiimide compound to becompounded in an ester-group-containing resin or abiodegradable plastic, exhibiting no coloring problems dueto yellowing, and having more superior stabilizing effectagainst hydrolysis, (2) a stabilizer against hydrolysismainly comprising the carbodiimide composition and (3) athermoplastic resin composition containing the same. Morespecifically, the carbodiimide composition comprises acarbodiimide compound (A) and an antioxidant (B), having a5% weight loss temperature of not lower than 250°C asdetermined by a thermogravimetric (TG) method, wherein theantioxidant (B) is dispersed in the composition by admixingduring synthesis of the carbodiimide compound (A).
