DEVICE FOR A JET WEAVING MACHINE FOR INTRODUCTION OF THE WEFT THREAD AND CARTRIDGE FOR APPLICATION IN THE MIXING TUBE OF THE PRINCIPAL DISCHARGE NOZZLE OF A JET WEAVING MACHINE

The invention relates to a jet weaving machine with a serial arrangement of an auxiliary discharge nozzle (3) with a compressed air connector (3a) and mixing tube (4) and the main discharge nozzle (1) with a compressed air connector (1a) and mixing tube (2) for the gentle handling of the weft thread (9). The mixing tube (2) is divided into a first mixing tube section (2a) and a second mixing tube section (2b). A clamping device (6) for the weft threads (9) is arranged between the two mixing tube sections. The clamping device is connected to both discharge nozzles (1, 3) and a controller (13) by means of a pressure sensor (7), valves (8), signal lines (11, 14) and compressed air lines (15, 17), as well as to a compressed air source (19). On introduction of the weft thread (9) the above runs through both discharge nozzles (3, 1), the mixing tube (2), the clamping device (6) and a cutting device (18) in the direction of introduction (5) and reaches the shed as represented by the warp threads (10). The clamping device which can comprise a pneumatic or hydraulic actuator and lamellar clamping pieces, permits the processing of highly elastic weft threads on jet weaving machines and avoids a negative effect on the structure of the weft thread on clamping.
