The device (18) for measuring service quality can be installed in a real-time data transmission system. It comprises at least one analysis module (30) comprising means (34) for intercepting data packets and means (40, 44) for estimating the quality parameters of said real-time data transmissions according to said data packets. The packets comprise data emanating from at least one transmitter (12, 14) and which are to be provided in real-time to at least one receiver (12, 14). The analysis module (30) is disposed at an intermediate point (20) of the network, said point being different from that of the transmitter and the receiver, in order to intercept packets in different directions of communication.
