A sensor-less liquid-liquid separation means capable of simplifying the detection of a liquid-liquid double layer interface or eliminating the use of an interface sensor for liquid formed in double layers due to a difference in specific gravity, for example, a solvent set in a separated state changing reversibly between compatibleness and separation with temperature. A plug body with a specific gravity ds of larger than d1 and less than d2 is put in a liquid container filled with the liquid formed in the double layer with the upper layer of the specific gravity d1 and the lower layer of the specific gravity d2. The upper layer liquid is sucked from the upper part of the liquid container and allowed to flow out, or the lower layer liquid is fallen from the lower part thereof by gravity allowed to flow out, and the flow of the liquid is cut out by the flow cutout part of a flow passage closed by the plug body with the specific gravity ds disposed in an outflow passage to separate the liquid. The interface is detected indirectly by using the plug body with the specific gravity ds as a marker for the liquid-liquid double layer interface.
