The invention relates to a helicopter which conventionally comprises components for carrying out the essential technical functions for flying, namely: a traction system (4); a flight control transmission (6); a rotating airfoil system (7) with airfoil system controls; a tail boom provided with a transmission for a yawing control system; and a landing device. Said helicopter is characterised in that it is modular and consists of two parts including a main module (1) which is common to all missions and a front module (2) that can be connected to, and disconnected from, the main module (1), and is variable according to the mission to be carried out. In this way, a declination of appliances can be obtained with a single main module and a set of different front modules (2).
