Cells having been flat-cultured on a permeable sheet are layered, together with the permeable sheet, on other cells having been flat-cultured to thereby form a three-dimensional tissue. This three-dimensional tissue is transplanted into a living body. Alternatively, it is layered in an artificial organ to construct a biological artificial organ module of the layered three-dimensional tissue type. The colony form of these cultured cells can be controlled by using a porous sheet as the permeable sheet and controlling the pore positions so as to appropriately design the form of the artificial organ.
