A rear projection-type multi-picture display device where, when images are projected from projectors on a screen to form a large picture, boundary lines are not formed in the picture. This rear projection-type multi-picture display device (10) is constituted of projectors (12) and a collective screen (16), and the collective screen (16) is composed of short unit screens (18) and long unit screens (20), the short and the long unit screens having different lengths. The number of the projectors (12) is same as that of the short unit screens (18) and the long unit screens (20), and the projectors (12) are installed so as to project image light to image light input surfaces that are the rear end surfaces of the short and long unit screens. The unit screens (18, 20) are integrally connected, with optical fibers (28) having the same length in the range of 5 mm to 100 cm arranged so as to be substantially in contact with each other, at the front ends and rear ends of the optical fibers, in the diameter direction. The short unit screens (18) and the long unit screens (20) are arranged in a staggered manner when viewed from the front, and their image output surfaces (18A, 20A) are arranged adjacent to each other in the surface direction at the position of a collective image output surface (16A).
