The present invention relates to novel reactive dyes of formula I, (I), in which the variable independently denote X hydrogen, NOSUB2/SUB, or NRSUP3/SUPRSUP4/SUP, Y NRSUP5/SUPRSUP6/SUP, ORSUP7/SUP, SRSUP8/SUP, or SOSUB2/SUBRSUP9 /SUPor a group suitable as a leaving group under the conditions of nucleophilic, aromatic substitution, RSUP1 /SUPto RSUP9 /SUPindependently hydrogen, CSUB1/SUB-CSUB8 /SUBalkyl, CSUB2/SUB-CSUB8 /SUBalkyl, in which non-adjacent CHSUB2 /SUBgroups can be replaced by oxygen atoms, imino groups, or CSUB1/SUB-CSUB4 /SUBalkylimino groups, and/or CHSUB2 /SUBgroups may be replaced by carbonyl groups, CSUB2/SUB-CSUB8 /SUBalkenyl, or a group containing an active site or the precursor of an active site, with the proviso that at least one group RSUP1 /SUPto RSUP9 /SUPis present which contains an active site or the precursor of an active site. The present invention also relates to the use of the reactivedyes of formula I for dyeing substrates containing nucleophilic groups, and to compositions containing at least one reactive dye of formula I.
