METHOD FOR POSITIONING A SWEEPING ROLLER AND SWEEPING MACHINE FOR CARRYING OUT THE SAME

The invention relates to a method for positioning at least one sweeping roller on a driven sweeping machine, whereby the sweeping roller is rotated by means of a rotating drive and can be optionally positioned in an idle position, in which the sweeping roller is at a separation from a floor surface and in a first and a second working position, whereby the rotating axis of the sweeping roller in the first working position has a given separation from the floor surface and in the second working position the sweeping roller sits on the floor surface. The method may be improved by avoiding a premature wear of the sweeping roller whilst guaranteeing a good cleaning result, whereby, on starting the rotating operation, the sweeping roller is only then placed in the second working position when an operating element is operated by the user. A sweeping machine for carrying out said method is also disclosed.
