Fillet rolling machine for vehicle crankshafts

The machine has accelerometers (28) measuring vibrations of an arm (24) with roller-burnishing wheels that is in contact with a crankshaft (2). The wheels are associated with a wheel driven in rotation. A force sensor measures forces exerted on the crankshaft. A unit generates an alarm indicating abnormal operation, if values received from the sensor and accelerometers exceed threshold values. An independent claim is also included for a process for roller burnishing of a crankshaft of a vehicle.
