PURPOSE: A non-flaking zinc coated electrode wire manufacturing method for an electric discharge machining is provided to prevent powders from falling from the surface of the electrode wire during the grinding of the coated zinc. CONSTITUTION: A brass wire is washed on the surface with water. The water on the surface of the wire is removed with a compressed air type wiper(10). Zinc coating particles is coated on the wire according to the usage of an end product(20). The coated wire is placed in a closed space to heat the wire with hot wind in a uniform manner and keep the wire in a certain period(30). The wire passes through a dice made of natural diamond so as to smooth the surface of the wire and perform the drawing of the coated wire at 4 to 80 times of the wire length according to the usage of the end product(40).
