PURPOSE: A power cord winding structure and a power cord for a vacuum cleaner are provided to lengthen the power cord by winding the power cord around the outside of a cleaner body. CONSTITUTION: A power cord winding structure for a vacuum cleaner is composed of a cord reel assembly(40) on which a power cord(45) is wound, and cord hangers(45b) formed at the rear of a cleaner body(10). The remnant of the power cord wound around the cord reel assembly is wound around the outside of the cleaner body by the cord hangers. A fixing piece(45a) is attached to the power cord, and controls the length of the power cord wound around the cord reel assembly.
