FLEXIBLE PRINTED BOARD CONNECTOR FOR SMOOTHLY CONNECTING FLEXIBLE PRINTED BOARD TO CONNECTOR

PURPOSE: A connector for a flexible printed board is provided to smoothly connect the flexible printed board to the connector by directly transferring the operating force of an operating lever to a slider. CONSTITUTION: A connector includes a housing(10) having an opening into which a flexible printed board is inserted, a plurality of contacts(20,25), a slider(40), and an operating lever(30). The contacts have contact portions coming into contact with conductive portions of the flexible printed board and are arranged in the housing at a predetermined pitch. The slider is slidably inserted into the opening of the housing and presses one of the contact portions of the contacts and the conductive portions of the flexible printed board against the other one. The operating lever rotatively supports a free end of an operating arm(32) extended from each of both sides of an operating part(31) at both sides of the slider and pulls the operating part along the surface of the housing to introduce the slider into the housing.
