摘要

PURPOSE: A mobile terminal for searching for text information and a method for operating the same are provided to implement a service to search a dictionary for a desired word interactively by using a mobile terminal as an input-output unit and searching the database of a server in a remote place through a communication network. CONSTITUTION: If a user inputs a word through the keypad of his mobile terminal, the mobile terminal checks whether the data for the inputted word exist in the storage part. In case that the data for the inputted word do not exist, the mobile terminal transmits the word to a specific server through wireless communication. Then the mobile terminal receives the data for the word from the specific server and displays the received data through the display part.
