PURPOSE: Provided are a magnetic carrier which has a high image concentration and an excellent dot reproducibility without the generation of image defect at blank region even by a developing method by the forward rotation of a developing sleeve and a photoreceptor, and a two component-based developer containing the carrier. CONSTITUTION: The magnetic carrier comprises 100 parts by weight of a carrier core comprising a binding resin and a magnetic particle dispersed in the binding resin; and 0.3-4.0 parts by weight of a coating material for coating the carrier core comprising at least 100 parts by weight of a fluorine-based resin and 1-40 parts by weight of microparticle. The magnetic carrier has a contact angle of 95-125 degrees. The two component-based developer comprises a toner with a cohesion of 20-90 comprising a toner particle comprising at least a binding resin, a releasing agent and a colorant, and an external additive; and a carrier particle which is the magnetic carrier.
