DOUBLE-EXPOSURE CAMERA SYSTEM AND IMAGE ACQUISITION METHOD THEREOF TO CONTROL EXPOSURE OF CAMERA ACCORDING TO CONDITION OF VEHICLE

PURPOSE: A double-exposure camera system for a vehicle and an image acquisition method thereof are provided to easily control the exposure of a camera according to the drive condition of the vehicle. CONSTITUTION: A double-exposure camera system for a vehicle is composed of a camera(210) mounted to the vehicle, an image synthesizer(220), a sensor unit(230), and a control unit(250) for controlling the camera. The image synthesizer receives first and second images from the camera, and synthesizes the first and second images. The first image and the second image are photographed for a first exposure time and a second exposure time, respectively. The control unit includes a first memory(251) storing first image data and a second memory(252) storing second image data, and calculates at least one adjusting parameter for setting the exposure time of the camera. The control unit adjusts the first exposure time or/and the second exposure time on the basis of the calculated adjusting parameter. The sensor unit detects the condition of the vehicle, and includes a vehicle speed sensor(231), a lateral acceleration sensor(232), a steering angle sensor(233), a wiper speed sensor(234), an outer luminosity sensor(235), and a navigation system(236).
