摘要

PURPOSE: A strength control rod is provided to achieve improved efficiency and safety by allowing for ease of load follow operation of atomic power plant. CONSTITUTION: A strength control rod(10) comprises a space filled with a pellet made of a neutron absorbing material. The space is divided into three sections(x1,x2,x3) in an axial direction, and the sections have different strengths. The strength control rod raises changes of axial offset in a positive direction while maintaining an inserted length of the rod at a lower portion of a reactor core. The strength control rod moves changes of axial offset in positive and negative directions while moving from a top to a bottom of the reactor core.
