PURPOSE: Composite fiber is characterized by using phase change material, responding to temperature to maintain temperature uniformly and having excellent functionality such as wash resistance and drapeability. CONSTITUTION: Sheath-core type composite fiber having excellent functionality and responding to temperature comprises: a first polymer, a sheath part comprised of polyolefine or polyester; and a second polymer, a core part which is comprised of polyester or polyolefine, containing 5-20wt.% of phase change material based on the composite fiber. The phase change material is characterized by manufacturing core-cell type microcapsule out of titanium dioxide and silicon dioxide, and adding 20-40wt.% of alkylene glycol group and fatty acidic copolymer having 500-1000 of molecular weight into a core part of the microcapsule.
