PURPOSE: A device for opening and closing the door of a microwave oven is provided to easily attach a handle onto the front portion of the microwave oven by compacting the structure of the handle. CONSTITUTION: A device for opening and closing the door of a microwave oven comprises a cover unit(200) installed on the door, a handle member(110), a handle unit(100) consisting of a fixed cylinder(131) inserted to the handle member, a handle mount(133) closely adhered to the outer face of the handle member inserted with the fixed cylinder, a spacer(137) combined with the upper portion of the handle mount and a connecting bolt(135) for fixing the handle mount in the handle member, and a connecting unit(300) for attaching the handle unit to the cover unit. The spacer includes an insertion body(137a) inserted to the handle mount, a protruded rim(137b) fixed on the upper portion of the handle mount, a head(137c) inserted to a cover through hole, and a spacer through hole(137d) penetrated with the connecting bolt.
