SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MEASURING DISTANCE BETWEEN GOLFER AND HOLE BY USING GPS SATELLITE

PURPOSE: A distance measuring system and a method thereof are provided to measure the distance between a golfer and a hole accurately, and to display information on the measured distance to the golfer by using the position coordinates of the golfer and the hole with the GPS(global positioning system) satellites and a hole position information provider. CONSTITUTION: A distance measuring system between a golfer and a hole is composed of plural GPS satellites(100); a hole position information provider(200) installed in the hole to calculate the coordinate of the position of the hole by analyzing the signals from the GPS satellites; and distance measuring unit(300) calculating the present position coordinate of the golfer by analyzing the signals from the GPS satellites and measuring the distance from the specific hole based on information on the hole position receiving from the hole position information provider.
