PURPOSE: A method for confirming the state of a receiver is provided to enable a sender to confirm the state of a receiver by enabling the receiver's terminal to receive a state information request signal from the sender and transmit previously inputted and stored state information. CONSTITUTION: If a sender terminal transmits a request message for the state information of a receiver to the receiver's terminal, the receiver terminal receives the state information request message and judges the kind of the received message. If the received message is the state information request message, the receiver terminal converts a previously inputted and stored text into a short message and transmits the short message to the sender terminal. The sender terminal receives the short message for the state information of the receiver and displays it on the display window.
