摘要

PURPOSE: A manufacturing method of optical lens module for planar lightwave circuits is provided to manufacture the lens on an exact position on PLC(Planar Lightwave Circuit) by using simple manufacturing operations. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method of optical lens modules for planar lightwave circuits integrates lenses to increase an optical coupling between optical devices and the planar lightwave circuits(300). A structure pattern(401) made of a material suitable for wetting lens material formed on a predetermined region where lens is formed. The lens material(402) is vaporized and patterned on a surface of a substrate having the structure pattern. The lens material is flowed so as to form a spherical lens due to a surface tension and a wetting characteristic of the lens constituting material.
