PURPOSE: An optical disk drive having a chip card reading function is provided to form a chip card terminal in a disk receiving space of the drive, thereby exchanging data with the disk while reading data for requesting input/cancel processes through a chip card. CONSTITUTION: A spindle motor(130) rotatively drives an optical disk(124). An optical pickup unit(140) is used for recording and reproducing the optical disk(124). A body(110) forms a receiving space(111) for receiving the optical disk(124), and sets the spindle motor(130) therein. Chip card electrode terminals(199) are formed in the receiving space(111) of the body(110) to exchange data with a chip card.
