PURPOSE: A washing machine and a washing drier are provided to prevent discoloration of clothes from pollutants or detergent sediments and to restrict mold by supplying external air from the injection port to a dehydrating tub through a volatile antioxidant material around the injection port or the supply passage. CONSTITUTION: An outer case(1) of a washing machine is installed, and a dehydrating tub(3) used as a washing tub is rotated and installed in the outer case. External air is sucked, and supplied into the dehydrating tub used as the washing tub. A volatile antioxidant(17) including volatile anti-oxidation material is formed around an injection port of external air or a supply passage of external air. The volatile antioxidant is diffused into the dehydrating tub used as the washing tub and contacted to the laundry by passing external air from an intake port(7a) through the antioxidant. Moisture is decreased from the laundry by vaporizing moisture, and the antioxidant is attached on the laundry to restrict discoloration or oxidation.
