PURPOSE: A VBI(Vertical Blanking Interval) error compensating circuit of an integrated-type timelapse VCR is provided to automatically control a rotational speed of a capstan motor, when a VBI error signal is detected owing to a deflection of the ball bearing capstan motor, thereby normally displaying a played video screen. CONSTITUTION: A timelapse VCR unit(100) controls an RPM of a capstan motor to normally receive a VBI signal of a reproduction video signal by controlling a capstan motor drive(104), when a VBI error signal is received. The capstan motor drive(104) controls a rotational speed of the capstan motor according to a capstan motor rotation control signal, and performs a slow reproduction for the video signal. A multiplexer(102) demultiplexes a monitoring image video signal applied from the timelapse VCR unit(100) to display the demultiplexed signal, and transmits the detected VBI error signal to the timelapse VCR unit(100) to perform a capstan motor control function.
