PURPOSE: A mobile terminal having a side key illuminating function is provided to display the current position by illuminating side keys and improve the visibility of the side keys in a dark place or at night, thereby preventing misoperation of a mobile terminal. CONSTITUTION: A mobile terminal includes a main body containing a main PCB(Printed Circuit Board)(15) inside, a plurality of main keys arranged on the top side of the main body, and side keys arranged on a side of the main body. A side key illuminating part(44d) is arranged at one side of the side keys for illuminating the side keys when receiving a signal from the outside. A main key illuminating part(44c) is arranged around the main keys for illuminating the main keys.
