PURPOSE: A present service system using a mobile communication terminal and a method therefor are provided to easily send a present while a subscriber is moving, and give an effective present by reflecting an intention of a receiver. CONSTITUTION: A present server(100) is connected with a data core network of a mobile communication system for providing a present service to a mobile communication terminal. The present server has a subscriber database(120) storing personal information including mobile communication terminal numbers of subscribers and a present database(110) storing present information. A present information providing unit(101) provides a list of various present information to a mobile communication terminal connected through the data core network. If a present product is selected from the mobile communication terminal and a mobile communication terminal number of a receiver is inputted, an SMS(Short Message Service) transmitting unit(102) transmits an SMS to the mobile communication terminal number of the receiver for confirming present contents and receiving information. A purchase processing unit(103) processes payment and forwarding according to information of the selected present product and the receiving information inputted by the subscriber or the receiver.
