PURPOSE: A method and system for receiving a call in a powered-down condition is provided to receive necessary calls in the power-off state of a mobile terminal. CONSTITUTION: A system for receiving a call in a powered-down condition comprises a switch(105), a database(110), a network(115), a base station(120), a mobile terminal(125), and a telephone office(130). The switch(105), communicating with the network(115), receives a call from the telephone office(130). Communicating with the database(110), the switch(105) searches for the mobile terminal(125) associated with the called subscriber of the received call. The switch(105), communicating with the network(115), transfers a plurality of response options to the telephone office(130). Then the switch(105) powers up the mobile terminal(125) through communication with the base station(120).
