METHOD FOR MEASURING AND TRANSMITTING A REFERENCE DISTANCE, ESPECIALLY CONCERNED WITH COMPARING A REFERENCE DISTANCE WITH A MEASURED DISTANCE IN MEASURING THE INITIAL DISTANCE AND CORRECTING A CONSTANT IN A HUB
METHOD FOR MEASURING AND TRANSMITTING A REFERENCE DISTANCE, ESPECIALLY CONCERNED WITH COMPARING A REFERENCE DISTANCE WITH A MEASURED DISTANCE IN MEASURING THE INITIAL DISTANCE AND CORRECTING A CONSTANT IN A HUB
PURPOSE: A method for measuring and transmitting a reference distance is provided to adjust each client's constant automatically in a hub using previously measured reference distance data. CONSTITUTION: If a user makes a request for reference distance data through the input module of a client(S10), the client transmits a reference distance confirmation signal and an ID code, stored in its own storage module, to a hub(S20). The hub compares the received reference distance confirmation signal with a reference distance confirmation signal stored in its own storage module, compares the received ID code with an ID code stored in its own storage module, and judges whether the client is an authenticated client. Then the hub transmits a detection signal and an ID code to the client and resets its own timer module(S30). Receiving the detection signal, the client resets its own timer module(S40). The client compares the received ID code with an ID code stored in its own storage module. If the received ID module is matched with the stored ID code, the client transmits a detection signal, an ID code, and timer data to the hub(S50). The hub, receiving the detection signal, measures the timer data of its own timer module and stores the measured data in its own storage module together with the received ID code. Then the hub calculates distance data using the transmitted timer data, its own stored distance calculation formula, timer data, constant, and variable, and the detection delay signal of the detection signal(S60).
