PURPOSE: A light control apparatus and an auto addressing method are provided to allow for ease of replacement of slave, by automatically assigning addresses to each slave connected to a master controller and changing the connection configuration between the master controller and slaves from a parallel configuration into a serial configuration. CONSTITUTION: An addressing method of a light control apparatus comprises an addressing command output step(S10), a slave interrupt routine driving step(S20), and an address setting and transmitting step(S30). The addressing command output step outputs addressing command signals to one or more slaves connected to a master controller in accordance with a user operation signal. The slave interrupt routine driving step stops the program in operation, and drives an interrupt routine program for performing the addressing commands, in accordance with the received addressing commands. The address setting and transmitting step stores an addressing signal, sets the addressing signal as an address, sets an address of the next order slave by adding a predetermined signal to the received address, and transmits the address to the next order slave.
