PURPOSE: An optical power equalizing device in a PON(Passive Optical Network) is provided to change a gain of signals having different input strength by controlling a driving current of an amplifier for a short time, thereby always maintaining certain optical strength. CONSTITUTION: An optical power equalizing device(100) comprises as follows. A wavelength combiner(160) separates upward optical signals. An optical distributor(170) transmits a portion of the upward signals to an optical detector(110). The optical detector(110) receives the optical signals to convert into electric signals. A gain active control circuit(120) controls a driving current to be provided to an optical amplifier(140) by responding to strength of the electric signals. A delay element(130) delays a time when the optical signals arrive at the optical amplifier(140) as much as time for controlling a gain of a current to be provided to the optical amplifier(140).
