RESIN COMPOSITION USING ACRYLIC ACID-GRAFTED POLYETHYLENE, AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A resin composition and its preparation method are provided, to reduce the weight of an instrument panel compared with the product using a PC/ABS material and to improve the adhesive strength with a panel by grafting the acrylic acid having an excellent adhesion to a polyethylene chain. CONSTITUTION: The resin composition comprises 100 parts by weight of acrylic acid-grafted polyethylene comprising 85 wt% of a polyethylene resin and 15 wt% of acrylic acid; and 0.1-20 parts by weight of dicumyl peroxide. The method comprises the steps of mixing a polyethylene resin, acrylic acid and dicumyl peroxide; and vacuum compressing the mixture at 190 deg.C to prepare a resin composition in pellet state.
