PURPOSE: An auxiliary pump for feeding priming water and a method for feeding priming water into a pump are provided to stably feed priming water into the pump when the pump is restarted. CONSTITUTION: Priming water is inputted into a priming water container(1) after opening a cover. In this state, power is applied to an auxiliary pump(20) so that water contained in the priming water container(1) is introduced into an impeller chamber(14) through an exhaust port(19) of the auxiliary pump(20). When an impeller(17) operates, negative pressure is created between the impeller chamber(14) and a suction port(13) so that air is introduced between the impeller chamber(14) and the suction port(13) from the suction port(13). Then, air is discharged through an exhaust port(19) and water is introduced into a pump casing(16) through the suction port(13).
