PURPOSE: A high picture-quality digital video recorder and a signal processing method of the digital video recorder are provided to easily locate the digital video recorder in a narrow space by combining one side of an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) monitor with one side of the main body of the digital video recorder using a hinge. CONSTITUTION: A digital video recorder(100) includes a main body(110) storing input video signals, and an LCD monitor(120) for displaying images corresponding to the input video signals or images corresponding stored video signals. On side of the LCD monitor is combined with one side of the main body using a hinge such that the main body and the LCD monitor are fixed at an angle of 0 to 90 degrees. A panel unit(121) of the LCD monitor is placed toward the outside such that the LCD monitor and the main body are placed one over another.
