FREQUENCY OFFSET ESTIMATOR OF MULTI-CARRIER RECEPTION SYSTEM AND ESTIMATING METHOD THEREOF IRRESPECTIVE OF ACCURATE SYNCHRONOUS SIGNAL

PURPOSE: A frequency offset estimator of a multi-carrier reception system and an estimating method thereof are provided to estimate a frequency offset irrespective of accurate detection of a PN sequence as a synchronous signal by using a frequency offset estimation algorithm. CONSTITUTION: A first signal generator(511) is used for generating a complex signal by using an I-component and a Q-component of a synchronous signal. A delay unit(513) delays the complex signal as much as a predetermined period. A second signal generator(515) is used for generating a conjugate complex signal corresponding to the complex signal. A multiplier(517) is used for calculating a phase component of the complex signal as a constant by using the complex signal and the conjugate complex signal. An offset detector(519) is used for detecting a frequency offset on the basis of the phase component of the complex signal.
