PURPOSE: A device for reducing discharge of carbon dioxide is provided to reuse some of blast furnace gas with using a gassifier diverting the carbon dioxide to monoxide playing a role of reducing agent, thereby reducing carbon dioxide which has not been used and discharged, and improving the using efficiency of deoxidation carbon. CONSTITUTION: A device for reducing discharge of carbon dioxide comprises a gassifier(2) for recirculating gas generated in a blast furnace(1) and a burner(3) which burns the blast furnace gas and generates carbon dioxide. Blast furnace gas recirculation, wasted hydrocarbon generated at an upper portion of the blast furnace and pure oxygen are introduced into the gassifier. Carbon dioxide is converted into carbon monoxide by reacting the recirculation blast furnace gas with the wasted hydrocarbon. The gas obtained in the gassifier is introduced into a preliminary deoxidation area and is used as carbon resource which is used for deoxidation of iron ore.
