PURPOSE: An apparatus for receiving coils adaptively to widthvariation in a batch annealing furnace is provided to maintain the gap between the upper end portion of a coil and an inner cover constant to an appropriate extent, thereby reducing exfoliation phenomenon during a coating, as well as, minimizing the generation of a scrap of a stacked coil. CONSTITUTION: A lever(67) and a rotary plate(61) are rotated in the clockwise direction by a driving cylinder(71), to decrease the widthvariation between the upper end portion of a coil and an inner cover. Pinion gears(45) engaged with rack portion(63) runs idle, and are moved inside of curve holes(65), and sliding cells(37) are pulled inside. Pins(43) inserted into linear holes(53) of a fixing plate(51) are guided by the linear holes, and is linearly moved, moving the sliding cells inside. When the sliding cells are moved inside, a base movable upward and downward(81) is moved upward to decrease widthvariation by using the height difference of an inclined surface of the upper portion of the base movable upward and downward.
