EMTDC ANALYSIS MODEL AND OPTIMUM PARAMETER DESIGN METHOD FOR RESISTANCE TYPE SUPERCONDUCTION CURRENT LIMITING RELAY INCLUDING STEPS OF PERMITTING LINE CURRENT TO EXCEED OPERATION START CURRENT, PERMITTING LINE CURRENT TO HAVE CONSTANT INTEGRATION TIME CONSTANT AND LIMITING VALUE, AND VARYING RESISTANCE OF SUPERCONDUCTION CURRENT LIMITING RELAY
PURPOSE: An EMTDC(electromagnetic transient DC) analysis model and an optimum parameter design method are provided to minimize influences of a superconduction current limiting relay to a system by verifying operating characteristics of the current limiting relay and suppressing fault current under a wide variety of operating conditions. CONSTITUTION: An EMTDC analysis model design method comprises a step of permitting the line current flowing along a superconduction current limiting relay to exceed operation start current; a step of permitting the line current to have a constant integration time constant and a limiting value; and a step of varying the resistance of the superconduction current limiting relay in accordance with an input element.
