PURPOSE: A method and a device for recognizing an input language mode of entire system, and the method and the device for automatically switching an input language mode of all application programs executed on the system are provided to recognize the input language mode for each keystroke including an insertion error, a repeated error, or an omission error on all devices equipped with a keyboard or a keypad. CONSTITUTION: The first input language electronic dictionary(301) registers vocabularies of the first input language to a dictionary by a recognition unit. The second input language electronic dictionary(302) registers the vocabularies of the second input language to the dictionary by the recognition unit. A user language electronic dictionary(303) registers a user language directly performing removal and mode switching for the keystroke that is forcibly removed or mode-changed by an automatic input language mode switching mode. An adaptive recognizer(304) recognizes the input language mode of a scan code of the keystroke received in each keystroke by referring to each dictionary, and provides information for a current/recognized input language mode, a keystroke removal range, and a keystroke switching range.
