DIS HAVING DOWNLOADABLE HMI AND A DOWNLOADING METHOD THEREOF, PARTICULARLY FOR CHANGING AND UPDATING HMI SOFTWARE WITH RESPECT TO MULTIPLE DEVICES OF A VEHICLE WITHOUT TEMPORAL OR SPATIAL RESTRICTIONS

PURPOSE: A DIS(Driver's Information System) having a downloadable HMI(Human Machine Interface) and its downloading method are provided to allow a driver to change HMI software to his/her taste through a user terminal. CONSTITUTION: A DIS is driven(S210). When a driver selects one of multiple devices, namely, an air-conditioner, a DIS control unit drives an air-conditioner HMI software to display an air-conditioner HMI on an input/output terminal, and an air-conditioner application is driven to control the air-conditioner(S220). The DIS control unit determines whether the driver wants to change the air-conditioner HMI(S230). If the drive wants to change the air-conditioner HMI, the DIS control unit requests a list of download HMI software from an HMI server(S240). The HMI server transmits the requested list of the download HMI software(S250). The DIS displays the received HMI list through the input/output terminal and transmits driver's selected HMI software to the HMI server(S260). The HMI server transmits the received HMI software to the DIS(S280).
