PURPOSE: A strapping machine for automatically clearing and reloading a strap is provided to cut and clear the strap fed wrong from a feed wheel and a strapping head and to reload the strap to the feed wheel. CONSTITUTION: A strapping machine(10) for automatically clearing and reloading a strap(S) has an automatic strap-clearing and reloading assembly(12). The strapping machine defines a strap material-holding area between a feed structure and a feed assembly(20). The strapping machine receives first and second courses of a strap material, a position, and tension and seals the periphery of goods with a strap material. The automatic strap-clearing and reloading assembly includes a body; a driven wheel; a bearing element opposed to the driven wheel; and a strap cutter arranged to move toward a strap path or to deviate from the strap path. The bearing element and the driven wheel define a strap path between the bearing element and the driven wheel. A first peripheral part of the driven wheel defines a gap between the first peripheral part and the bearing element and the strap material slides between the first peripheral part and the bearing element. A second peripheral part of the driven wheel is arranged in a state of making the strap material gripped between the second peripheral part and the bearing element. A third peripheral part is arranged in a state of making the strap material pinched between the third peripheral part and the bearing element. The strap cutter moves to the strap path to cut the strap material.
