摘要

PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display and an electronic equipment are provided to realize wide viewing angle display and desirably restrain thickness of a liquid crystal layer, and improve the reliability of an electronic equipment by installing a liquid crystal display of high reliability. CONSTITUTION: A liquid crystal layer(50) is formed of liquid crystal having negative dielectric anisotropy that an initial alignment state represents vertical alignment. A liquid crystal layer thickness adjusting layer(26) is formed between the liquid crystal layer and a lower substrate(10) to make the liquid crystal layer of a reflective display area(R) thinner than the liquid crystal layer of a transmissive display area(T). Convex shape parts(28,58) are protruded to the inside of the liquid crystal layer from an inside of an upper substrate(25).
