PURPOSE: Bisphenyl-1-adamantyl phosphine oxide derivative containing phosphine oxide and adamantane which are substituted simultaneously, and a preparation method thereof are provided. The compounds have improved adhesive activity and low dielectric constant with maintaining inherent properties such as improved thermal stability and mechanical properties. CONSTITUTION: The bisphenyl-1-adamantyl phosphine oxide derivative containing phosphine oxide and adamantane which are substituted simultaneously is represented by the formula(1), wherein X is hydrogen, nitro or amine group. The method for preparing the bisphenyl-1-adamantyl phosphine oxide derivative of the formula(1) comprises the steps of: (a) Grinard reaction of 1-bromoadamantane and diphenylphosphinic chloride in organic solvent and magnesium to prepare bis(4-phenyl)-1-adamantylphosphin oxide(DPAPO) of the formula(1a); (b) nitrifying the compound of the formula(1a) with sulfuric acid and nitric acid to prepare bis(4-nitrophenyl)-1-adamantylphosphin oxide(DNAPO) of the formula(1b); and (c) hydrogenating the compound of the formula(1b) in the presence of palladium catalyst to prepare bis(4-aminophenyl)-1-adamantylphosphin oxide(DAAPO) of the formula(1c).
